In August 2023, our tribe signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with ODFW to establish a cooperative partnership aimed at protecting, restoring, and enhancing fish and wildlife populations and their habitats. This agreement also provides a framework for our tribal members to participate in subsistence and ceremonial harvests, managed in partnership with ODFW. The MOA is a significant step forward in ensuring that our traditional practices and rights are preserved and respected. I was honored to offer the following testimony at the meeting.
